niether devo red band is bulked up with wheat homoform i have used and could not see any improvement on young reared without it but as a treat i would sooner give homoform than red band if they were the only seeds available |

| I remember red band from my former racing days, didn't realise it was still available but it was a fine conditioner then so I would probably go back with that, but I'll see how the birds go without it first. |

agree used to be a great mix late 70s early 80s but not any more |

| I think there is so many products on the market, May be best if you make your own mix. I think it is a case of getting the balance right. |

we use it for the moulting season added at a percentage daily to their feed as part of the feed ,when the moult is over its stopped ,we use hemp in the racing season as a treat I don't use peanuts and g10 pellets all year round |

| Ive never used either Devo, I think a few members from my club have red band in the trough when the birds return from training. |

David, i think red band is cheaper than homoform, I made a mix of mixed grit, hemp seed and tk conditioner, the birds love it. I think this may be the way forward for myself, using different mix and oils, along with Bos pellets from Bamfords. |

| no idea dev, I don't buy either of them, all I know is red band isn't cheap, and homoform isn't cheap......this is why I go for the bamfords tk conditioner as its reasonably priced and virtually the same as red band, I use this as a base for a matrix type mix adding grit minerals etc to it. |

| Red Band as a conditioner and treat to get birds in with
Homoform for breeding youngsters and for the youngsters when parted of for the first few weeks
