Gents I sometimes hear the birds wont be libed because of cloud at the lib site. I train my birds in cloudy conditions and know of people who put them up in rain wind cloud and don't have problem's. Can somebody explain how cloud would effect the lib, how much cloud is to much cloud ect many thanks.

not really sure chicken, im not very clued up on racing like some....but maybe its because they find it hard to find their bearings and navigate, maybe they need the sun or something else to navigate home vie a magnetic field type of thing...??? maybe someone with more experience than me can tell us.......

| I think when there's thick cloud at the lib site they struggle to clear, they don't have the confidence to break and head off, but once they are on their way and heading for home and they hit cloud it dosnt seem to affect them so much.

If they can locate the position of the sun they will head home. If not ..circle.

apparently the birds can still see the rays through the cloud (uv rays) but if its thick cloud that would be more difficult ...experienced birds would pick out landmarks ,I guess this is what we are all after ,birds that home in all conditions or on difficult days ,plenty don't
