just seen it on news ray, airports in scotland closed, london airports will be disrupted, a lot wont be training today

You can get the odd good late bred, put they are hard work and very time consumming compared to youngbirds breed at a normal time

seems pointless breeding late racers.seens to me it would be better to rest the breeders from early summer.

i dont think fanciers who breed latebreds breed them to race, as far as i know most of them breed them off there best birds which have probably bred ybs to do well that season and who want to preserve the good bloodline for future breeding.........

unless of course there are the fanciers like me who mistakenly forget tp remove eggs and they hatch............

i removed 4 eggs today all in 1 nest bowl

was it two hens steve who laid them............?

it must have been but only seen 1 hen in nestbox with cock, 4 days on trot 1 egg layed

ive still got mine together as im not racing obs, was taking eggs away yesterday and noticeed 2 chipping so put them back.........will be too late to race them but didnt have the heart to let them die.

still time to rear and race, an old saying a bird born in may will fly all day

so do you recon they will still race if they hatched yesterday.......? remember my others have been on dark for 2 weeks already

yes im having 2 sets dark and natural, but natural just 2 or 3 races, then saving for next year

race naturals as far as you can until they are down to about last four flights

yes more naturals do less for darkness birds, wont over race them then

David, this pigeon would be ready for the drop back races and when the darkness birds have had plenty of miles on the wing, this pigeon is only getting started and will be that much freasher

still wont beat the darky pigeons back with experience

can still get about5 races with natural,you have got to remember we had to race them all the way before darkness came in

If you get them motivated right then the darkyes can be beat
