On an allotment or in ones back yard etc FW they are a santuary as such. Better than any pill for the stress factor I've found & a great place to escape from the missus & her continual waffle type of thing . Rain in the night again this morning damp and mild rain holding off at the moment with a south west wind

Warmed up to minus 5 C. Lots of snow. Went to town. Came back with a transport right behind me. Icy roads. Slowed for a left turn in to the drive way. Transport was very close, could not slow fast enough. I yanked the wheel left. Missed the ditch and floored it. Bag of feed in the trunk helped. It went through 2 feet of snow across the lawn back on to the driveway. Iwas laughing. Fun stuff!! My wife almost had a heart attack! She was shaking for 30 mins after. Ahem..she was very vocal.. so I went out to feed the birds...

-8F. Storm blew over, and the sun is blinding. Going Ice fishing. It will be nice to get some salmon in the freezer.

Sounds like a "Griswold family Christmas vacation to me".

Except for the salmon bit Rom that's one crap report etc . Now me being me could you please answer a query for me here, as I have an itch of sorts. So, taking Smetana lofts there as a central point for your club, where are you situated to him & how far away are you in a north, south/east or west direction as such come race day. Also Noonkester lofts interesting character, by my standards .

A dry and bright morning here and very mild started to turn colder early afternoon with rain coming in around 3.30isn gone very dark now

yes I seen that this morning mark, must be cold to freeze niagara falls.......

yes, just watched the fireworks on the tv in London, lovely display which lasted for 11 minutes...... people suffer austerity, low wages and benefit cuts.......people loosing their homes and jobs, and people going to food banks because they have no food, no money to look after our elderly, no money for gritting the roads which are full of potholes,  yet the government seem to find millions of pounds to send up in smoke, for wireworks......
