Red feet thoughts? 01191810

I've heard red feet are a sign of health, ad far as oxygen and iron.  Not much good reading that I have found.  This is ads red as I've seen my pigeons' feet.  Camera is a piece of junk.

I have noticed that when they receive more than two days of redcell or steel wool in the water their feet REALLY  turn a blood red.   does anyone believe this is too much iron in the blood?  They don't feel like cannon balls to a green horn anyway.

Warm feet huh? Makes sense. Plenty of blood flow I guess. The droppings look fine if I'm observing correctly. I'll see if there are any changes. -3c in the loft right now

The white birds have been my guinea pigs so to speak. There feet always seem to stay a light red, no matter diet. They are on natural light though. Still trying to pair up. Maybe it is the 300 watt equivalent led light in the racers side? Maybe take the wife in there..see if she gets excited? lol! lol!

I call them sea gull feet here Rom Smile Smile Was always fascinated when I had my holiday over in the west (25 years ago) when I brought in my local imports etc. Many of his birds there had the same trait as such. Also had a room full of medications Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes by my standards Wink Wink & I just figured Smile Smile one of them (wouldn't have a clue) was the reason his birds had like yours, what I call sea gull feet Smile Smile.

Interesting perspective cheers no medications here though. I'll try to find more information on the matter. I was wondering if it was a hormonal thing. lol!

Maybe, maybe not Smile Smile as a kid Rom, I grew up with seagulls 24/7/52 Smile Smile so maybe I will just have a chat with them to help find a final conclusion to this subject Wink Wink.

Most feral pigeons have dark feet, legs. Have had racers with black lines on their legs. Think any connection with health is speculative.
