you don't often see featherd feet on racing pigeons , would you like to and do you think that having featherd feet is any good to the pigeon ?

the lefebre dhaenens I have have sometimes produced pigeons with feathers down the legs and I bit on the feet, not very often but every now and then.....I don't think it would hamper them racing but it may attract droppings etc to stick to the feathers on the feet...???

Reds are originally Jannsens from Tom Mackowacki in Alberta. From Jules Gallez. Oude Vos. Few other additions from Tom years ago. Oop de batermans(?) Few recent ones from Ganus bloodlines. 1 good one out of 4. Built a large aviary yesterday. Birds are split up now so need to get air and rain. Longest spell of rain free days in years. Hottest summer also. But raining now. Health is not a problem here. No meds. If a bird does go off colour it is left alone. Usually they recover rapidly. If not then garbage bin. Many years ago medicated faithfully. Some fanciers need to do it due to circumstances. So they should. Guess I am fortunate.
