| The membership in most clubs is so diverse that to have total harmony is almost impossible.
For most of the time I served as chairman and found the best way to deal with the selfish was to point out their sefishness in no uncertsain terms, you will usually find until it is pointed out they think it is acceptable.
In the case of the ones who complained abut the lateness I would have asked just what had they done for the club in comparison.
Regards.

| All the best regarding your new venture.
Do not fall into the trap of courting popularity, call a spade a spade and favour no one.
You will encounter the back biters and those intent on protecting their own short comings by talking behind your back but if you are true to yourself you cannot go wrong.

| it was because a member, had put his self out and organised a raffle etc for club funds, raised £100 or there abouts and brought it in to the club........pigeon men being pigeon men complained because it was late in you cant help some people can you, I wouldn't blame him if he told them to go f**k them selves next time.[/quote] When i joined in 2015, at the end of the season i asked if we were having a presentation and the treasurer said no as there were no money to do a presentation, so i told the president i would put some money in and he said he would and Ronny said he would, so we decide to have one and i got a half a dozen of pigeons to auction off and did a raffle and we made about £400, so that paid for the presenation. 2016 made £399 according to the balance sheet, and last year i made the club £345 for 6 birds and £160 raffle on the presentation night. |

was going to bring it in at the agm but was up late,as i went to halton presentation and had a late night, so i went home and went to bed as i wasn't feeling well, then in the march meeting i was in Holland. I gave them a cheque from Dave from wheels taxi for £500 last year and i got one this year from Dave for £500 and i told Paul and Alan that its not for prize money. I going to suggest that each member gets £25. |

| That crap still goes on? Complaints, backbiting, running persons down. We do not have this in our club. 6 members only. Very fortunate. Allow me to email in clocking times. Probably last year flying for me anyway, club races. But will have to see. |
