| On the news this morning was a discussion regarding greyhound racing and all that it entailed.
Attempts are being made to ban it on several grounds.
There is no reason to believe that the same people hell bent on stopping all sports involving animals targeting pigeon racing next.
It would be interesting to go into the private activities of those attempting to do so.
Regards. |

| its like everything now misty, the pc brigade are trying to take away all our rights and history, bit by bit.....they ban fox hunting (which I agree with), but because it is mainly done by the upper classes it is still let to continue, the police even protecting the hunters against protesters .....eventually they will stop or attempt to stop everything joe public has, dog racing, horse racing and pigeon racing, on grounds of cruelty........yet these same people say nothing about proper animal abuse, such as halal and kosha ritual slaughter, dog fighting and general animal cruelty.

| got to be honest thought we were at risk years ago, been approached by these lot fishing on river severn, a few lads had problems with them and this is going back 15-20 years, it doesn't help when you get knobs on u tube necking pigeons, we also need to be aware that not everyone will see things your/our way, it is a genuine worry if someone like peta came after this sport. |

| yes your right rog, some pigeon men don't do the sport/hobby of racing pigeons any favours by what they do or say, it only needs certain groups or people to hear/see it and they have the ammunition they need.

Much the same here David the do gooder/greenie crowd types on average live in a fantasy type world from my perspective. Stopped at a Stop sign yesterday etc here while out driving & one graffiti type had painted under it "eating meat". Most probably has as university type degree I suspect but totally brainless I suggest by his actions. |

| As I recall, the people who went to the mink farms etc; were found to be the hippy type, with nothing better do than think of an issue they could take up and cause as much trouble as possible.
When they were exposed as such matters went down hill for them.
There will be the same type amongst the anti this and that brigade who will have matters that may throw some light on their activities and what they get up to in their private lives may not stand up to scrutiny, there is an old saying, "fight fire with fire".
Regards.

| Many crackpots here. Argueng with a guy few weeks ago. Was buying kidneys. Beef. For steak and kidney pie. In the Supermarket yet. Tells me I should not eat meat. He stated vegatables were better for you. Told I am eating green stuff. He just laughed and said how? That is meat! Told him yes, but the meat came from an animal that only ate greens. It just converted it so technically eating recycled greems. |

Regards. If you care to read a bit about why they're trying to ban it, you might better understand. From what I've read, greyhound racing *can* be a very abusive sport, and the animals are often drugged and pumped full of stuff that makes them run (and die) faster. |

| Before making excuses for wanting to ban greyhound racing, you would be better considering what could be used against our sport.

| Greyhound racing. Horse racing. Pigeon racing. Doping, enhancing drugs, goes with the 'sport' one is involved in. Of course there will be detractors. Never ending battle. Never read about the cricket fiasco. Just assume one Aussie felt sorry for the ball having to work so hard so helped it along. The ball did not have feelings but apparently the referees did. |
