True youngsters looked rather nice from my perspective FW . Handling issue there thou maybe requires some improvement I suggest etc by on average certainly some thing there to work with in the right hands as such if looking for a result.

If you could access the pigeons potential by looks or handling the real enjoyment would be lost.
I have handled pigeons that have won out of turn that most fanciers would access as the tops, at the same time I have handled better performing pigeons that many fanciers would not give a second glance.
What possible point would there be if everything was easy?;
Regards.

Performance counts. Breeding or racing. All else is hoping.

Could not agree more, but both come in all shapes and sizes, as with a motor car, unless you look under the bonnet you do not know what is there, and unfortunately, a pigeon does not have a bonnet,
Many champion pigeons have been from chance pairings and some from the last pair put together because they were the last pair.
Funny old game.
Fanciers spend thousands of pounds on so called performance based pigeons, why has everyone not now all got champions?
Regards.

Had a friend imported some in the late seventies, picked one cock and he was a menace, paired to two hens with two nests under the nest boxes, I killed him, two of the youngsters from the four young he bred won several races up to 350 miles, never tried them further, but it taught me a lesson.
Friend was Peter Kelsey the shoman. Regards.
