Gave mine their first two tosses, they’ve been ranging really well, but I have to get some training in to get them used to the basket. Took them 21 miles yesterday and today. They beat me home both times, a couple messed about trapping the first day, so they got no food. Those 2 trapped today, all part of their learning. Letting them out Sunday for a bath then back to training next week, weather permitting. They will be banging home and in by the first race and in great shape, all ready to get the young bird sickness after the first race. The 4-1 sickness medicine from deweerdt is in the cupboard on standby.

not started yet we start next week but they have been in the basket a few times we got a old basket off the transporter and repaired it so ideal for training mind you need a trolley to get the thing about its a bit of a beast holds 30 ybs ,lets hope we all get some decent training/racing with the ybs ...as for the sickness the few days after a race are always tender hook times we use avidress and ropa mixed for 2 days after a race it seems to have worked well the last 2 seasons

Young do not start here for 3 weeks or so. Open loft for early breds. Much as possible. All ages. 2 weeks start training. Whatever can go. 10 miles 1st then up to 20 2nd toss. Then stick there. Worked last year.
