Racing this Weekend 14/9/19

good luck to all members racing this weekend, for most it will be the last race, lets hope for a good race with good returns, and maybe even a good result to finish the season off ......

good luck to all, it will be my last race saturday.

we basket tonight for our last race from ripon tomorrow the race has been brought forward a day and got word yesterday afternoon about 3pm surely they knew or could have made a decision in the morning …not sure how many we will send as will be looking at each bird individually to see who has just dropped a flight and who is pushing one up its 190 miles and a strong headwind ,if we complete the race we have won the yb averages and English averages as we are quite a way in front ,good luck to all members racing this weekend

Portland fed 176, and Wrexham 2bird kingsdown 160, last weekend for us,

we sent 9 to ripon and our breeder buyers in their to for the last race, a few others are not in good enough feather so stay at home

Same, same here On the local front as such I'm scratching my head so to speak     as 2 local feds went up in the same local area under conditions at 350 odd miles 2 hours apart when liberated into a head wind. Will be interesting thou I suggest, who fits into the happy & unhappy type scenario when clocks are pulled over
to-night here.

Tornado yesterday. Races held a day. T storms now. Not too many races left. Most have been blow homes but a win is a win.

we liberated at 8 from ripon ,2 other organisations are up their to one going up into Scotland and one down into London which could have our boosey birds on board …going to be a stiff race

Over past couple of weeks, regards the weather, I feel more than ever in starting Y/b's racing later.

Been proposed to start racing later, with both old and young birds, several times over the past years, no one bothered, in particular those who supply fanciers who lose their birds every year.

Read in RP a New Alternative by a friend of the scribe, never bothered before, suggesting just what has been suggested over the years, the resident scribes have a lot to answer for. they spout this and that but never anything to improve the sport, must not upset friends etc;


Feel the main problem is, the present day pigeons are not up to that asked of them.
