| They did very well. They made a lot of money . I don't know where it all comes from . I couldn't pay those prices believe me and I don't think I would. Money doesn't always buy success |

| Thanks for the information, it always amazes me the prices some fanciers pay for pedigree pigeons, or even those that have performed well, there is no guarantee either will be any good at anything other than selling their untried offspring etc;
If one looks in the RP or BHW many genuine old fanciers are offering first class tried and tested pigeons FREE.
Think if I was young I could start up and compete reasonably well with gift pigeons
and a little garden hut, the money boys want to keep participating as expensive as possible backed up with propaganda.

| Remember well back in the 80's a BBC program where Louis Masserella had just bought a pigeon for a then world record … Think it had over taken Frankie Georges world record paid for 'Morning Cloud' of £700 pounds. Beating a world record price that Louis paid for Starlight of £625 … I actually took the bird out the cage much to many glares and temper lol. Was 12 I think.
Any way, I diverse, Louis said 'No it cannot guarantee breeding a great off spring, but lessens the odds'! |

The N.E.H.U race from Melton Mowbray 21/4/2012 was won by Peel bros of South Shields, they took 1st club 1st fed, also taking 2nd and 4th club and 15 of the 25 birds clocked in the club......well done Peel brothers.
