Could be a multitude of reasons unfortunately. If it's all the birds included then it's something common to them all. First thoughts then would be the corn, just takes one of the grains in the mix to be off. However can't possibly say so only way is have the birds tested somewhere with a good reputation. Next year's races are won now so don't be just chucking anything and everything in the water or on the corn hoping it solves the problem. Not sure who best dropping testing services are, hopefully someone on here who uses such are able to advise you on this. Hope they get sorted, you say they seem happy so at least they aren't ill. Maybe they are on with their end flights?

probably nothing to worry about, may be a change in corn, or because a change to barley, small seeds etc .......would think they will be ok once they get used to it .

How long have the birds bee like this if only a day or so I would give them a couple of more days maybe with some yogurt in the water if no change I would give them a cocci treatment as the weather has been very wet and its hard to keep the lofts dry this time of the year some may say don't treat while they are still moulting but I would take one flight with a fret then two or three

I would see which individuals had loose droppings the cocks with boxes will give a good indication ...I would open the wing and see how far up they are in the moult ...mine are on last flight not long pushed up a few inches long and a few have loose watery droppings but they are watery not slimey and that makes all the difference ,to me it does anyway as it indicates probably just a bit of stress or discomfort throwing the last flight/s if the droppings are streaky white droppings would indicate mild cocci I have not treated old birds for cocci for years they all live with a certain amount anyway but under stress it can proliferate and very loose droppings can indicate a bad case but birds would show that by drinking a lot more ,could be a touch of canker or even worms they love damp weather and deep litter but moxidectin is safe to use during the moult for worms and parasites but not ideal no meds are ...I would sit it out if they look and act ok but keep an eye on the water intake as it should be quite low this time of year barnie makes a good point about feed to ,using farm feed by any chance ,low quality barley or beans maybe who knows as they can contain mites or mould toxins especially in our climate if not stored correctly,I would have recommended belgica de weerd for test but they folded up and don't know of any one else reputable...get a microscope m8 and learn how to use it as it takes away a lot of guesswork atb

glad you got it sorted, i have my doors open all day and i know cats and foxes are about, near the loft ........maybe the birds are used to them as they dont seem too bothered, but like you say, its up to us to make sure they cant get in.

In future, you might take a look at the droppings at different times of day or night as to any changes. Should be a little different depending on times. If not, the take on board that they need something taken in hand.
