| It seems ridiculous having possible carriers of the virus entering our country.
However, if our own unemployed (many not worked all their lives) were made to do the jobs these people do we would not have to use them.
If the crops rot in the fields and prices go sky high ???????.
The army are doing nothing in many cases we should use them instead of the cheap labour from abroad.
Regards. |

| i think all this waffle we are told about our own people not wanting to work is propaganda , total rubbish for the masses to believe .......there are plenty of people who would do this work, like people always have done for centuries.......we didnt need cheap foreign workers to make britain great .
we always hear how hard workers foreigners are, truth is most are lazy bone idle good for nothings, who get the job because it is politically correct or because they do the work cheap . |

| If our people will would do it David, why are the farmers having to have foreigners?, it does not make sense.
The farmers asked for help from the public and many offered their help, but not enough to cover the necessary work load which all comes at once in cycles.
The farmers are the ones who know the situation it is their living and nothing to do with the Government, who I agree cannot be trusted in any respect.
Think many farmers pay according to performance.
If the same applied to most Government departments and many utilities then many would earn pea nuts.

| Yes Knackered, me thinks they just tell us what they think we will swallow.
The care home saga is a scandal irrespective of any other consideration when the staff have neither the means nor the experience to deal with the residents.
Think there will be many hard to understand events uncovered in due course.
Watched a news item this morning about your neck of the woods Knackered and your comrades are not having things easy.
Look after yourself Knackered.

| Farming is work intensive, for the farmer all the year round and at harvest time etc; more so and help is needed.
The cost of the produce depends on the cost involved mostly in labour at harvest time, would those who say the wages of those willing to do the work for what the farmer can afford to pay is too cheap be willing to pay far more for their food when many cannot afford to eat without help now.
??????????.

| Talk about work.
Just had six bags of birdseed and two lots of fat balls delivered and Brenda's daughter turned up with our weeks groceries at the same time.
Do not think I could help the farmers feel in need of a rest after just sorting them put.
Have enough seed now for a few weeks.
Feed pigeons on wheat only, seed goes into feeders the pigeons (woodies previously) find hard to get at.
Have used same supplier for over 50 years since they started in a little shop and got their corn etc; from farmers.
