| got a phone call earlier, none fancier from london.........said he had one of my 2019 birds he had caught in his garden, and had it safely in a cat basket with food and water. he said it was in good condition and had no visible injuries .
i told him i have only bred and sold young birds for the past 4 - 5 years and it must be one somebody bought from me, and i will check to see if i had details of the buyer.........obviously the rpra had given him my details as being the owner, so the buyer had, it appears not transferred the bird over.
i said i would be in touch and looked at my "records" and luckily enough i found who had bought it, he had bought 7 ybs as it happened and not transferred any of them, even though i had supplied a signed transfer form .
thing that interests me is, the buyer lives in barking, essex which isnt far away from the finder, plus the bird has 3 rings on its legs, one being the rpra life ring.......so i am thinking has this pigeon been raced without transferring it and also why would it be lost 10 mins drive up the road.........bearing in mind this is a 2019 bird he bought as a young bird.
ill be contacting the buyer tomorrow to let him know his bird needs collecting
any thoughts anyone ...? |

any thoughts anyone ...? If one was a EC chip ring etc David I would suggest some one is not doing their job properly on the transfer side of things, maybe. Now 10 minutes/miles that could be like a distance type event by some's reckoning these days I could suggest . & take care. |

| This can be very annoying David.
Had the same problems with fancies who do not transfer pigeons.
Some that have escaped when used for stock and a couple of times letters from vets who have taken in injured pigeons and wanted me to pay the fees.
How they can race them when they do not transfer them I cannot understand.
Regards. |
