| I once had the T.V lincense catcher knowck my door. 'Ive come regards you not having a T.V. Lincence'. spouts he. ' But i haven't got a television' says I.
'Well' says he, our locator says different and I'm getting a signal as such'. I fiegned shock and disbelieve. He looked at 7 sets in the corner and asked smuggly ' What are they then#?
'Them' O looked perplexed. 'THEY ARE MY Karaoke sets'.
'Of sorry' says he, 'of course that's why I'm picking up a signal. Sorry to disturb you' ans left! I kid you not. Of course they were normal televisions. Yes i did watch them when bothered lol
Mind regardless if one only watch another channel than ever B.B.C you are still lible to pay. One can't get away with that.
Like Electric wires in the house, they belong to the electicity board. Wether you bought and had a specialist rewire your house! So if one dug the hole and place a generator in it. Was noiseless etc. and ran some elicticity to the house, they will charge you enormous rental fees. |

| they should make the tv license fee a subscription service, if you want to watch their programs subscribe, if not dont ..........a bit like sky, virgin etc .
unfortunately we pay ours, simply for the fact my mrs and daughter live here, if it was me i wouldnt bother and just ignore their demands for money . |

| the best laugh in the Licence blather was Buffoon's promise to scrap it! 3 days after the election he came out and said he couldn't/wouldn't in reality lol But advices us to refuse and got to court and pay a fine, which would be cheaper! you couldn't make it up. A. would be more fines, the other charges like contempt would be added.. and a few sent to prison as a downer. B. his lawyer friends and cabinet memebrs said he would get done for inciting one to break the law. So no change there then ... Nor money ghange lol. Well not from the Fines,
Mind most of the BBC shares are Robert Murdoc's and co. So, like a lot of the BBC workers are paid by his and his cronies. Laura Kness and robert Preston etc. etc. |

| Had a look at the Firestick ads oldstrain, do not understand what is involved.
Do you have to have a special TV or unit.
The thing that annoys me more than anything is you should be able to have a TV that does not receive the BBC rubbish.
Even the basic news is one sided and a monkey could do the job some people are paid over a million a year for and a better job too.

| Thanks David.
How do you stand regarding the BBC saying you must have a licence if you have a TV ?.
Or is it exempt.
Regards.

| thing is with this tv license milarky , if the tv snooper is allowed into your home to check if you have a tv, he must turn the tv on and see if it is capable of receiving bbc channels.........so apart from either not letting him in (they have no authority to enter without a warrant), and not having an ariel connected to enable the bbc signal, i reckon he / she cannot check your tv receives bbc if you do not allow him / her to use your electricity , if he does without your consent that is theft ........
the tv snooper can only enter if you allow him, or if they apply for a warrant, in which case they will bring plod with them........but even so the police are not there to force entry or to play any part in it apart from ensure there isnt a breach of the peace , the police cannot make you allow the tv snooper access.........just open a window and tell them to get lost, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR ¬¬¬ |

| Thanks lads, seems a bit of a mine field regarding the BBC and their prowlers think there should be a way to have a television that cannot receive the BBC rubbish.
Think there will soon be a real rebellion regarding the BBC as a whole, so biased it is a wonder it does not fall over.
Thanks again.

| Never been good at jumping David, so never take a fence.
There is at the moment David a real ding dong going on, the BBC having scrapped the free licence for over 75s.
We can afford it but many cannot it is the principles involved, the Government promised to keep the licence free and renegraded on their promise, the BBC waste millions on rubbish, just typical of the times.

| Scofield/ Linicker, Ross and others are on £7 million starters / basics now ... It was £4 million. With many add ons. and endorsements etc. also being well paid.
Terry Wogan threathen to pull out of his £00.000 nights salary unless paid another £5000! Now the salary is raised from £42000 T0 just over £50.000 |

| they are all the same daz, paid large wages so they toe the line and do what they are told ......they see wrong doing in the world but never speak out, they dont want to jeperdise their own life style .
its like that loose women program, the one with nobodies spouting their opinion to all the gullible fools. they did a cancer charity event the other year, but failed to mention they took thousands in wages each ...... |

| These charity programmes are a real, real, laugh if it was not so deceitful.
Like the BBC's Pointless a great big £1,000 pounds up for grabs in the charity events, if you win.
But the celebrities taking part get thousads for doing it.
The ITV is no better with their charity events, those taking part getting more than the charities.
Sign of the times .

| Likewise the council. They can't come into your yard unless invited. They have to get a warrent. (Which is a pain, and not often given by the magistrate courts). Remember reading, once kept it, gone somewhere now ... Was a article in the R.P and the B.H.W. Any way a fancier built a loft and started having pigeons. It was in a residental area where it isn't (Really ). Council served him notice to give it up etc. Drag on and went to court. Local J.P. sided with the Council. he fought it and went to a higher court. He won the case. He got £5000 compensation and the council had to pay court costs etc. ... With out going to the E.R. Court of pigeon lovers lol. |
