white delbars eh ....i knew of white logans but always thought the delbar a predominately blue family with a majority being cheqs but hey i stand to be corrected at least you found out where it came from hal eh

love the look of a freshly moulted white, always look super-tight feathered.
Anyone with the time and patience can create their own family over time, just keep pairing pieds back to pieds or all white flights each generation will carry more white gene and after 5 or 6 generations pure whites will start to appear.

I went, with a fancier to a famous stud. He got on very well with the bosses and manager. Spent time and money there too.

Asked regards buying a good Delbar hen, he wanted to mate with a certain cock bird.

Was looking at the prices paid for what appear average pigeons.

Appeared to be over the top.

Then thought what I had paid for some of my stock birds 50 years or more ago.

Several over £100 and others around £50.

Today that would be over £1400 and £700.

So nothing has realy changed, other than the majority of todays pigeons are unhealthy and not as good as those 50 years ago.
