Excellent watch, True scratch my head here some what thou I'm about the purpose of it all in the end, except for the enjoyment factor. That being said thou, one for the memory bank here & it brought back memories from the past for me of a bloke riding his motor bike on the road for miles & his pet pigeon flew every mile beside him through the traffic ducking & weaving between the flow of the traffic as such to keep up with him on his journey.

Unbelievable is it ...I have had birds hit the trap and nearly killed themselves going to fast ...I remember one young hen trying to get down in strong winds , she hit the ground hard and broke her leg, I heard it 20ft away it was horrible,  really loud . Poor thing

Yes for sure don but I bet a few injuries on the way

Similar to milers, cannot see how far they actually fly but it cannot be a mile.

Can see no pleasuse in it from my angle.

Maybe makes no sense etc Misty as you say. But then better to be doing what they are doing there etc I suggest than if they were all out mugging/killing some one on the street type of thing I suspect .

The amount of training must be huge.

yeah i would imagine the pleasure is in the keeping/training aspect and bragging rights eh ,as you say at least its a harmonious activity and after all when things get to serious it can create a "money factor" as we have found with pigeon racing to its detriment eh along with nearly every other sport/hobby
