| My plans. Friend of mine brought me 2 bags of corn and wheat. Staple food. Plus 10 bands. Hours drive in a near blizzard. Both ways hour each. But he has 4 wheel drive truck. So will be racing birds. 5 bands were in sequence, short numbers. 5 in sequece long numbers. Assume 5 are destined for someone else. Not bothered at all. Different lofts, different locations and management. Going to be an interesting year!! |

Can feel as rewarding as winning yourself when others win with your pigeons and the more that do the better the feeling. Also gives a further interest ( and if they do not win it is always the other fanciers fault I have found ??????). Regards. |

Yes. That is the idea. Performers. Can cull easier this way. |

| If we win with someone else's bird I phone them instantly and I mean instantly. Nothing better telling a bloke he has bred a winner |

| I look on line. All clubs and Feds post results weekly. Have the numbers here to check. Young starting to leave the bowl now. Other 8 x 12 loft all ready. Thought for 6 young birds too intimidating. So have an older red cock, hurt wing did not mate. Put him over. White hen hurt leg did not mate. So she went over also. Maybe they will mate, maybe not. No matter. Company for the little guys. 1 white, 1 bbwf, 2 red checks 2 bcs. BC mother and 2 white mothers. BBwf throwback to a Ganus pigeon. Venus. |

One hundred percent. I was actually always pleased to do so. Likewise was good to hear as such if one of mine. A very well renowned fancier transferred a youngster to me that came back after being sent back to him. Doncaster. It won as a yearling, second race. Only seconded time ia a basket , about 250 miler. So I phoned him to say thanks etc. He went on asking about who I was, how did I get the bird. Had I transferred it etc. After about 10 minutes I told him he was an Arsoul, and .... well a lot more. Later, when at a good fancier loft, who was a friend of his, laughed and stated the git when talking to him. He had brought up the subject of an uncaring foul mouthed threatening git. We laughed, and my mate say he'd told him he was lucky not to get a slap from me lol. But that certainly did rankled me. |

| typical of some pigeon fanciers daz, they dont want the trouble of getting the bird returned, yet dont like it when the person keeps it and wins with it ........ |

| True in todays game I'm afraid David.
Was a time when very many strays won a good race.
Now I can see if that miffs them a mite.
However, just prior, they would be only too glad to get shot off!

| yes daz, keen to off load their rubbish, or what they consider to be rubbish ....personally i think if a bird isnt good enough to send for, it isnt good enough to breed , ok not all pigeons are good, but they need to be more selective in what they breed from . |

| yeah had some real T0$$£R$ on the blower asking to cull or coming out with the spill as to why they cant send for it instead of taking the responsibility of there bird and doing right by it |
