does everyone have their birds out for exercise now, or are they still in for winter, even though its quite cold the sun is out and it is a bright day. just wondering if other members of the forum already exercise their birds around the loft, or are planning on starting soon .

Mine will stay in until they have reared their babies, into March probably. Problem being if hawk gets one it's not just that adult gone, the babies lose a parent so struggle to rear them.

i agree with colin, when ybs are in the nest its very dangerous to let parents who are feeding out, if they get attacked or scared the ybs are at risk .........

Mine go out every day weather permitting be it sun rain or light snow showers the only time I keep them in is when we have a east wind or its very foggy light fog isn't a problem but the wind is as I live about 50 yards away from the railway lines
