No worries Steve as long as they have some food in them then they should be o.k, because if they do make a mistake they won't be looking for food, which stops them thinking about getting home

Phil it is best to wait till your birds are rangeing well before training mate for me if your youngbirds are rangeing 1 to 2 hours then that is the time to start training because your birds are covering large areas of ground which helps them to use there brains

Phil sorry to say this but can you get them out between 6 or 7 o'clock, the only reason i say this is because the pigeons are freasher and fly better early morning compared with midday

Plus you have more of a chance the youngbirds will get hit by trainers which will take them and then they get pulled from the loft which in turn makes them use there brains getting home and this can also help build there confidence

O.K Phil, just trying to get the youngbirds work in better for you, can you try and see if you are in a position to see if trainers come racing across your loft and lets say, let your youngbirds out ten minutes before the trainers then see how they shape up and see if the trainers can take the youngbirds and make them work

just remembered that from 20 years ago, gradually releasing later each time so street lights on when they return, learns them to fly later
