I've been watching down here since before sunrise there etc David Only have one query/question who do I see now to get my money back as I'm getting rather grumpy I'm with what I have been watching sadly unfold there .

I know I was getting that desperate here etc David to see some action there I nearly reached in the screen here at one stage, to just put the local cat there I saw on the roam through the bobs for some action .

awful in fact disgusted ,liberating in scotland at midday is a big emphatic NO for such a small liberation let alone a larger one ,we learnt that lesson a few years ago in the south west england lerwick club ...for me the birds welfare was not thought through ,never again seems to me a result was wanted on the day ,well they got that but at what expense to the others ... lets hope 93 makes it home

i agree darren, not happy at all over a 11.50 liberation from 334 miles........he gave the deadline of 12.00 to bring them back, yet 10 mins before the deadline liberated them , no not happy over that im afraid.

i know we normally complain at these yearling races, and we are never all going to be totally happy with the situation unless we win it, but letting them go like this wasnt good.

not alot of chance for many more to home now i would have thought....one 5th have returned home spanned over 3 days

only one bird back today (3rd day) at 6.28am ........not looking good for the rest of them .

The pigeons were never up for it all year, just got to look at how the earlier training went leaving lots missing and nighting out from short tosses, come on 700ypm for the vast majority from 12 miles in May, writing was on the wall?
It would be a miracle for the same birds to rattle in from over 300 miles in June. Such a shame for the birds but they'll just get forgot about sadly.

sadly i think your right, day 3 and one bird managed to struggle home, isnt looking good .

The whole sorry scenario Colin from the very start for me     was just a hope & pray type exercise to a degree. The pigeons were homing in a fashion, of sorts if one was generous in nature but weren't within a 100 miles of being racing in nature at any stage I felt. Now that being said, in the defence of Jeremy & his merry helpers there, who I'm thankful went to the effort of working towards perhaps a living a dream type moment I'm sure for those involved. But in the end I suspect/suggest Ï'm these type of races sadly & the way they are run across the planet now on average have a major problem/issue & one could quite easy say     the whole business model there in motion is broken beyond repair if the welfare of the pigeons is the utmost concern in the end. Now       with all that being said     guess who here     who is only human in nature       I'm   sadly, but will be putting his name down again for more of the same, same     if we decide somehow to have another crack at such a similar type of race next year anywhere    .  

From day one said there was no motivation involved.

Love of home  being the prime example.

Do not forget as young birds they had flown the whole programme, mostly in reasonable time.

As yearling pigeons change their affections from being afraid of being away from the loft and the source of food to feeling their feet and if the conditions in the latter  are not good they may look elsewhere or at least not be in a hurry to get back.

I feel the whole yearling race was not thought out in a proper manner., as the result indicates.

the mistake was not pairing the birds ,i think they would have been much more motivated ...they could have paired and split on 10-14 day old eggs ,could have been done before yb entries were arriving no problem at all then with time ,nah p1$$ poor and no exscuses for this debacle i am afraid

Many roads to Rome etc O/S but I simply think here it was a bad, bad move on average over all I'm   in having the series of races the way things unfolded there. Work load of keeping 1500 odd birds as your main purpose in life & then the yearling races. Not something most would attempt I suspect & then hope, hopefully somehow to finish in glory by the end Now   local One loft type race here today     Can look it up on the Benzing site if one wishes, 4th toss     40 miles     maybe something     Jeremy could maybe think about       maybe    .  

yes oz the take the money and make do scenario eh for the yearling races ...dont think there will be another one for 5 years or more the last one they had for yearling was 2016 ,ah well rpra have made profit and wages all paid eh so nevermind

Do not think we need worry about the next five years, looking like the whole sport will be lucky to survive that long.

Not only the OL situations but the whole sport.

Howeve, the RPRA may save the day just like the Raptor Alliance dealt with the raptors.
