| UPDATE 09/09/2021 September 9th, 2021 Good Afternoon Please find the Worksop liberation Video on the 07/07/2021 post soot and dust cannot seem to find it so has sent me a copy of lovely emails. Anyway after what turned into a tough Hot Spot just want to congratulate the winners who made good time. As i updated on social media on Tuesday morning we had to wait until the morning mist cleared plus then had to hold on longer for the West Durham Amal to go through with roughly 5000 birds onboard the leaders of this Amal did over 1600 with the helping wind so these should of been well clear of our line. I think in the early stages of the race they were struck and most probably they went miles off route or went down hiding out which then the heat in the afternoon and the following day of course would not of helped but the next day and then today many are still working in which is testament to there health and condition. These birds with care will bounce back and race 3 will be at the later end of next week weather permitting and any not considered fit to go simply wont go. I hope to train before race 3 as well. The clock will stay on until Saturday. Will update on Saturday. Jeremy.. |

| You cannot keep blaming raptor strikes.
All birds are aware by their very nature that they have to avoid raptors etc; and if attacked and avoid just carry on, goes on all the time.
Even were a batch attacked it would not affect all the other batches.
Too many excuses being made.
The late returnies does not prove they are fit, it proves they were not fit enough to fly a short distance on the day,
Would be madness to start the daft trainers again, the pigeons obviously need a rest to recouparate.
Regards. |

| I think he's lucky a lot turned up next day, to be fair NE organisations racing Northwards from same area last month or so have been getting cleaned out week after week myself included. Difference being we never get a feather back the next day or even days or weeks later. Pigeons don't seem to be leaving racepoints in that vicinity even with blue sky and helping winds. Guess the one loft birds might have experienced same phenomenon this week? Not making excuses for them but everyone racing are in agreement that something weird is stopping youngbirds homing. |

| Said several times barnie as has David, if the likes of Chine, Russia, America are all attempting to find means of disruptng the technology of other countries, who knows what else is affected?.
Problem being some pigeons do return in good time.
Also the wild birds would be affected the same.
Perhaps if the migrating birds usual activitie are noticed as being affected official investigation may take place, for our feathered friends only fanciers are worried.
But certainly think something is amiss.

| Thing is if hawks were having a devastating effect on wild bird migrants then rspb would just blame wind farms or mobile phone masts and bury the truth anyway. Been an awful year for pigeon racing no matter how you look at it, many say worst in living memory especially when many days have delivered favourable weather conditions. Where do you start in order to find the answers? |

| No doubt barnie, things ain't what they used to be, in my lifetime it has gone from horse and cart, hand grinades to nuclear weapons and going to the moon plus all the technology involve yet the human race is on the brink of suicide if left alone.
As for our pigeons, just read an article in the BHW regarding One Lofts.
Comparing the returns of two OL races, one RPRA and one in Portugal.
The writer has obviously been peeping on our site.
General gist, we have too many training tosses.
Ever hear it before ?????????.

| Was once two tosses if able, friend had a caR, OR COULD AFFORD betwen 1/6p and 2/6p on the British rail. Baskets brought back with regards messages. Weather, time of release etc.
But 90% or more only sent a training toss between 2 and 3 times a season. Youngsters straight into 1st or second race. Flew the program... seasons end the problem was making room regrds Nest Boxes and which birds had to go!
After ranging yougsters were set for life. Knew more than we will ever know. Loft flying during the week ample. Gosh 3 or 4 times around the loft was a mile! Why send them up the road?! |

| Never trained at all.(If you can dismiss Redcar the first race point I occasionaly did send yougsters firsr toss)
Mine thought it a good experience me thinks going on holiday for a flight although eager to get back to a perfect life style.
Up and down, some day in day out must be sickening to a pigeon in particular if on Widowhood etc;
But many causes in losses, too many sick pigeons kept alive by artificial means.
Woud be interesting to know and perhaps show the actual basketing procedure and just how many are in the crates when training, also water facilities etc;
Many a pigeon can be ruined by bad handling and with hundreds involved ????.
Always made sure I saw my own handled with care at marking.

| not sure its needed in my opinion, lets face it, some will not return home, so they have homed from the hot spot only to be lost on a short trainer .....what a waste |

| From any aspect of the present situation these trainers are asking for trouble.
Neither sense nor reason involved.
Cannot possibly do any good but could result in many losses the way things are at the moment.
Idiotic.

| i agree totally lads ,i mean...imagine losing your entry in a trainer at this stage of the game surely 30+ tosses is enough i just dont understand it ,if the penny has not dropped now after 30 tosses and 2 hotspots then it never will ,its just puting the ybs at the mercy of percy and hawks a good rest and time to relax and bond to the loft/mate will be of more help...its not as if we are racing against anyone else eh merely just a in house race whereby they are all returning to the same loft so i just dont get it ...surely they are fit and able by now |

Regards. Brave man that etc Misty I suggest questioning somehow, the way the O/L race of ours is run as such & especially putting it all down in print form for all to read. End of the day thou here congratulations to the man I say for simply talking common type sense in a pigeon type sense, maybe Now, have a feeling here the man that said what he said there, has some Aussie blood in him somehow thankfully, with his talk the talk episode in print as local O/L race here has the last race coming up shortly here at around 350 miles, after two short races at around 150 & 250 miles & less than 20 tosses all up (including 2, 100 odd mile tosses) to get them there for the final race Now, nearly forgot if some one here would like maybe, to perhaps tell Jeremy, the local man started with around 1220 odd birds at the start of his venture & will now be sending 520 odd birds to his last race here somehow, apparently. & take care. |

| i know oz i just dont see what its doing for the birds at this stage of the game ,like i said imagine your entry has got this far to be lost on a 10/15 toss that was totally unnecessary and paying £125 for the pleasure dear oh dear |

| Being lazy and saving 'PROFITS'! A fool's errand! Yet are succeeding in conning most that they care and are doing their best!
Why toss? To give then expeirence and show they how to Home! I should co coa! They know. learn from first out what we don't even understand 'HOW THEY LEARN or Do it'! To get them Fit! Crap.
If thjey like their 'Home' they will come ack. If not, tossing gives them more scope to pee off!
What they are doing to the birds is 'Sinful' and they certainly know better. If not, they shouldn't be in charge and supposely caring for our birds! Truth is they are only interested in 'Caring' for your money! |

| Just had another look, both back, 101 and 204.
Would have been very annoyed had we lost one from 11 miles.

| thing is i understand a few are injured and need to get in the game before its to late but just train those eh ...even single tossed they should make short work of a 11 mile toss eh....yeah makes no sense at this stage of the game to drag the hoard for a 11 miler |
