SUNDAY UPDATE 19/09/2021 September 19th, 2021 Good Afternoon
The weather has been kind to us so they have been out both mornings this weekend.
Tomorrow we will be training from the 23 mile point and any late arrivals from the last race etc not fit to go are in the rest bay and will miss this trainer.
I will update tomorrow evening with the latest.
Jeremy..

not sure im happy over the 23 mile trainer, bit of a stinker if birds are lost or late from it, and cant make the final when they have survived this far ......

Walk in the park scenario I say etc David if the man in charge there actually knows what he is doing type of thing . Now I know an old fella down here who had the urge yesterday for certain reasons to go tossing once again from 6 odd miles in a single up type fashion X 2 into a strong head wind & they both homed in record time going by the commotion up my gum trees when I drove down my drive way as such & what I shortly after saw in my yard here. Only problem thou for me I'm was that they were actually 2 crows (Currawongs) would you believe. So what does this all mean in a pigeon sense, nothing in one never wishes to learn how to maybe toss pigeons in a realistic type fashion but if one puts some thought to this little tale & asks oneself, if a man can toss single up 2 crows from 6 odd miles & they both home in record time, why would you maybe toss any pigeon less at any time/stage & anything that maybe couldn't even get home from 20 odd miles has little value on average in the end. Now, again some here may just be thinking a crow is a crow type of thing & very hard to tell one from another etc but if one simply places marker rings on their legs after being caught in ones loft after giving your hens their weekly bath once again, they then tend to stand out in certain ways from the rest of their flock if simply hoping to just loose them to a better type home in the end somewhere with a toss & especially after being caught out by your neighbour who watches over what goes on with my birds here in the loft on a daily type basis like a hawk being thankfully, a true lover of all birds in her own simple way.
