Come across this a few times. RPRA Rules say fancier must arrange for the pigeons return, or alternative acceptable solution. Best bet under the prevailing circumsances is for the nearest fancier to the finder to be informed and pick the pigeon up and go from there. In these trying times common sense should be applied. Know all the aurguments, should not kerp pigeons if etc; etc/ if ?????. Rergards.. |

Shame, but we know not what our much loved feathered friends have to contend with at times. Regards. |

Tis a good thing the sport has those willing to put themselves out for the good of the sport. Just curious rainbow how you became involved. The owner is in breach of the Rules and should not keep our feathered friends. In our area the Whitby boys have for years returned thousands of strays. Of course fanciers should help each other but when the public is involved it is not a good representation of the sport to just refuse to accept responsibility. Regards. |

| thats the thing george, the bird was good enough to breed, and good enough to send racing, yet when it gets lost its not good enough to send for or collect .......i know some fanciers says they cant afford to send for them back, but why breed and send them, if you cant afford to do things properly they shouldnt be racing pigeons .
i thought under rpra rules they had a responsibility to retrieve the bird or face suspension . |
