See that's what happens maybe David when one decides simply to live in Leeds etc     38/40 here today & 50,000 odd will be down at the local park here shortly watching the South Africans work up a sweat I suspect in the cricket scenario & somehow trying to just maybe avoid another debacle of a result, like the recent first test match down here.

Fire not like the good old days there etc is it Ray like, pulling the walls down to find enough wood to somehow just keep warm & survive somehow. Funny old world believe it or not I also use a fire down here (heat charm heater) at times & I haven't bought an ounce of wood for it in well over 30 odd years now to just keep warm when needed.

We got our wood free but it's ran out today . Just scraps now to rely on haha . Hopefully not too cold in next few weeks

just stopped raining here, been coming down most of the day .......forecast says more to come .

and here David got one roof repaired the other one needs more work will get more felt to-morrow it's dry Thursday so will do it then tried patching it but will replace most this time if i'm not back on i've fallen off the roof can't tell the family i'm doing it at 77

shame i dont live nearer george, i would have given you a hand ......... gotta be careful .

it's ok David i will manage may buy sheets will see the cost to-morrow

Funny old world Ray free wood everywhere down here if one just looks but many would still prefer to still buy it for some strange type reason etc. For me its free wood every time I'm or spend about 2,000 dollars maybe to keep warm a year on wood from a Steptoe type whose out to make a dollar at my expense.
