ybs growing nicely so far, some will need ringing this weekend .

the single yb i have is under a Fostered   pair sure i won't keep it too small the pair have 2 ybs hatched yesterday will see how they do strange he is largest cock in loft she is smallest hen

Busy day today , garden tied up , birds out , rung more ybs . Busy Busy Busy

i do struggle ?  trying to ring ybs now

I do actually but I get there . Drop a few now rings that is not ybs lol

i seem to rush it now instead of taking my time

ive started to take my time with them over the last year or so, i have a small stool which i sit on with the yb on my lap on some layers of kitchen roll ......i put washing up liquid on the inside of the ring and on the birds leg, i rub it in all around the toes and ankle, then go steady sliding the ring on before pulling the back toe through with a feather .

Never feel alone George you are but one of many I somehow suspect Most folk think, ringing a youngster or maybe even putting a rubber in a thimble on race day is general kids stuff type work on average, but not so I found if one is maybe Old now like us two here, has something like Parkinsons decease maybe or even as I have here 24/7 now, with my essential tremor type issues on a daily basis.

Tried every position available etc George I'm truth be told thou & it's something I hate to admit sadly, but youngsters have simply died here at times I'm   in shock mode with my tremor issues, when first attempting to simply ring them as such in the nest.  

this is too small for old birds and too big for ybs

were do members get there vaccine from for the birds never done mine before

ive not done mine for a few years george, didnt think i needed to as im not racing and they dont fly out .......but when i did do them i got the vaccine from that pigeon pharmacy advertised in the bhw

Birds going out again today . They all went into new sections apart from 2 . Then off to my one and only job today
