Just read it George, the same applies to ALL food sources if they are not dealt with in an appropriate manner. You do not feed contaminated feed of any kind and ALL feed can become contaminated. If you took notice of all the rubbish the experts spout you would die of starvation. Never ever heard of a pigeon dying or being ill from eating pea nuts nor any of the wild birds. No doubt in no time the commercial boys will be out with a preventative and curative if fanciers are daft enough to take any notice. As said my pigeons got them every day both in their basic feed and as a t*t bit for more years than I care to recall and never had a problem. Regards. |

Only thing I did George was buy in small quantities until I had to part with my pigeons I then bought larger bags to feed the squirels and woodies and townies crushed some for the blue t**s etc; Bought last bag not long ago will last a good while but will keep an eye on as always that they are not going off at any time but never had a problem. Regards. |

I think animals know by instinct what is good and what is bad for them. Know the heartbreak of losing a wife and the effect it has on our pets George not to mention our selves. Always had garlic in the water for the pigeons and very rarely washed the drinkers the same with the canaries, the pigeons had the option of drinking from the pond but I had to top up the drinkers every day. Two ways of looking after livestock, clinical and natural. I chose the latter. Regards. |

Pleasure to see a photograph like that George. Pure contentment not in a constant state of panic nor in a clinical loft. Pity you do not race George. Regards. |

| As long as they are happy George it is better than all the rigmaroles fanciers use.
You cannot beat the love of home and you do not get that out of a bottle.

It was an odd situation George in the first place. I would have put pot eggs under both, they know if the eggs are going to hatch and if not do not divelope soft food. Regards. |

| Fan of dark bars too George although nearly all mine were Chequers Pieds.
Winners come in all shapes, colours and sizes but most fanciers have their likes etc;
Are you going to keep it ?
Regards. |
