Big night here tomorrow night etc in certain ways. Shave, shampoo & a bit of that sweet smelling stuff some use as such for me. 4 years living a recluse, in a pigeon type sense & I'm now back in town God willing, if I'm voted in at my new club. Being honest here I'm a wee bit worried somewhat, I'm as my club membership, fed membership & all my old rings for re registration etc have already been payed I'm told by the man that actually runs & controls the Fed & my new found clubs finances as such  End of the story     races start in 3 weeks here & I've just today cleaned my old baskets out for tossing after 4 years in retirement mode    & I'm still trying to figure out somehow, what I have to actually do with this new fancy electronic clock of mine also & also tune up somehow on my excuses from my old excuse book here, for when the races come around here shortly   .

Been cleaning out my loft this week, 50 odd years old, can still picture few old favourites sat on their perch asking for a pea nut, never had nor would tollerate a flighty pigeon.

Gave away all the nest boxes, perches etc; other than 15 I made form tounged and grooved flooring in 1969.

They are still in the place where they were first put.

Sure all will go well Knackered and hope you show them there is still some get up and go in the old boy yet, the pigeons are not bothered how old you are.

Thanks O/S I will need it type thing Bit of an eye opener I must admit here last night, when I fronted up on a cold/wet, total miserable type night to join up here to race next month in my shorts 15/20 blokes in the room & they all thought I suspect, a clown was in town, me being the only one there in shorts type thing       Lot I could say about the night, all positive but I was rather humbled somewhat I'm when out the blue there the President got up to speak of my history as such from the past, back when like when the dinosaurs roamed etc & then made a presentation my way of a Honorary Life Membership, with the attached few words attached in a frame. In recognition & sincere appreciation of outstanding service, loyalty & dedication to the C****** Homing pigeon Club. Nearly cried if honest, because like I said out of the blue totally type thing. End of the day thou nearly had a blue there first night I'm when I mentioned one bloke  lived out in black fella type country etc & another bloke, said your not allowed to say those things now, with which I replied his way I'm still fortunately old school with my general thinking process here these days, thankfully .

what a lovely gesture from your president/chairman there oz ,you must have been chuffed to bits ...you come across as a honest down to earth type guy to me and helpful so all good in the hood with the membership from my point of view

As for black etc; stupidity, black is black, white is white along with everything else we have given a name or expression to, can be abused like everything else but changes nothing.
