| [quote="George & Morgan"]in 2022 a yb was entered in a olr in training 1st in 2 tosses it then got loss turning up 9 months later anyway the hen has been gifted to me with a pedigree[ quote] George, was not going to comment for fear of upsetting you and your kindness regarding our feathered friends is indisputable. However., accepting gift pigeons from fanciers who have not a perch for them in their own loft is not, in my opinion a good idea. Pedigrees do not fly. You have enough decently bred pigeons to breed all that you need. Keep adding to gives less chance of finding what you want. Truly hope you do not take this in the wrong manner George but if I make a comment it is not to gain popularity but what I feel. Regards. |

Feel for your friends health problems George hope all goes well for him.
Cannot really understand how you feel your present pigeons are not good enough.
Great pity you cannot have a go yourself, that is the only way you know the pigeons have been given an equal chance.
Regards. |

Without knowing all the circumstances George it is hard for you to determine why the losses. If they were tested by another fancier, how many of his/her pigeons were also lost. If you count the OL entries, you know how many are lost add lib. Unless you have more control you are on a hiding to nothing being dependant on others to ensure fair play. Would reiterate the fancier who says he sends10 pigeons to OL races and is overjoyed if he has three in the final, and only specialises in OL races. Regards. |

| i agree misty, it might not necessarily mean its down to the pigeons that george bred, they might have just gone to poor fanciers, had bad races weather wise, bops etc or just simply the luck of the draw . |
