had a good first trainer yesterday, but took them same place today and when i got home one cock was already there.................then most of the others came 20 mins later in a bunch with the 4 latecomers ariving an hour later.......... when the main bunch came home i noticed about 3 other pigeons with them which flew off when mine landed so im wondering if mine clashed with someone elses birds.....? still one missing tho, so ill be lucky to see that again i think........

that,s why most people breed a few extra david just to cover loses i my self don,t race yb but they get a few chucks up to 20 miles but i start them off when there a little older so i don,t rush them and there still ok as yearlings well most are any way . i think it,s realy heart breaking when you have a loft full of yb one minute and the next minute the loft is empty it makes you wander why you bother .

your right kev, cant blame the hawks every time....................did others in the club suffer heavy losses too? also by what ive read over this ob season the weather hasnt been too kind to them and theres been some tough races for them, and as we know there are a minefield of obsticles along route. maybe someone with more experience than me could throw some light on why so heavy losses.....?

yes it,s the same every year but with having a small team you can never get a good team together you always relying on yearlings or a couple two year olds and thats not good enough , this season i think as been one of the worst i can remember even the shorter land races and shorter channel races have had bad loses and you never seem to get them back or reported . but the one thing realy i think is the cause is down to the high use of mobile phone users nearly every single person as one transmitters every where there is one less than half a mile from me at the local rugby club built in to the flood lights not many people know its there cos the club gets paid a fortune for it been on there land and people whould complain being it to close to the houses but most people dont see it .
