Same, same But then really speaking, haven't advanced much so to speak, when talking in general terms it appears. Last time I flew an old bird type race around 50 odd miles or less down here, was 60 odd years ago & the horse & cart was the main mode of transport & the rich brigade types road a bike as such .

them was the days you ran or cycled with the rubber to a central clock wasnt it knackered ......

i cant un see that now george, i will forever think of knackered if i see the picture again .......

True Hard work thou David somewhat, back when I'm for a little fat bloke type like I was then, when running half a mile to the local railway station here to clock in with my rubber in hand as such & having no bike unfortunately because I was poor in stature in a family sense.

thats proper dedication to the hobby of racing pigeons knickered, nowadays its too easy ......

i wonder how many would be racing if it went back to them days.

Certainly Well done to all concerned etc David, as you say. But then one could perhaps say maybe. Come a long way in a 100 odd years there type thing First race 50 odd miles, then 2nd race 70 odd miles apparently to start the old bird season off as such. End of the week down here I will actually be putting the last of my last round across to my race loft etc to race, then in around 5 weeks they will be then in training mode basket wise here, 5/6 weeks later   race mode then at 150/200 odd miles & then around 4 months later here onto 4/5/600 odd miles for an old bloke like George     Hopefully.  So as I said     Well done to all concerned     Enjoy the moment as one should. Well George let me put it this way as such doesn't seem any worse etc here to me     than an Antarctic gale, blowing into my birds face on race day down here from 300 odd miles, back when when I won against hundreds of local flyers & thousands of birds in the race & we actually had snow covering the local nearby hills & my back yard was totally white as such from what was falling from the sky here at the time    being winter time.

More a cock type day it appears David down here. Nice to see a wee bit of sanity shown there perhaps, apparently. Save the trees type thing with what appears, 3 birds clocked on average by most folk there as such    .

club members are giving their CPH numbers for the channel, i wonder if they will get there this year ....

see Liverpool midweek club has 28 members sending 460 birds

28 members is good george, i bet there isnt many clubs sending with that amount of members ......

my thoughts as well

just seen someone saying 41 members sent 936 birds to the central counties mid week race ........ no idea who or where that is
