How do i have to feed so i have to band by the 5th day

I am an eye fanatic, I wouldnt notice if a bird only had one wing in a sale the eye is first for me..lol
I have studied eyes and can honestly say I can tell you nothing about racing performance from the eye, but have chosen breeders by eye alone that have bred me section toppers and open winners.
As for the legs, Im not sure what it could mean, I had a van reet cockwith massive legs and I had to remove his ring, he bred big legged babies, but I got rid of him Im afraid.
My birds are almost all janssens and are a bit on the small side especially the hens you could get a ring on them at 10 days old with lube. My best pigeon this year that won 1st club 1st west section, and 2nd open beating birds flying over 35 miles shorter, and was in the clock 2 minutes before anything in this area, is the smallest bird I bred with tiny feet.

forgot to mention that eye is not my bird, I wish it was, and marks in the eye with lines smudges and spots are for me a sign of excellance and that eye is from a champion.
