snowed all through the night here, was very deep this morning when i went to feed up and the water was frozen solid again..........

No snow here for a couple days.....Plenty of ice around though... Luckily water hasn't frozen for the last couple days though.

dont mention water alex, my outside tap is frozen so i had to get water for the pigeons from inside the house, i caught the bucket on the way out and spilled water all over the kitchen floor.......... needles to say i was in the dog house.

i know ian, we had allotement when i was young, had to carry it every day in a container..........altho there was a well in the yard but never used it.

weve got taps on the allotment but frozen in this weather

yes my tap outside is, but now the central heating has gone off too.........

I know someone who has their loft about the same distance away in someones garden....Has to drive their with the water all year round.

ours was about half a mile away and i had to walk every day, was great when i eventually got them home in the back garden.....

i keep my stock birds on my allotment but dread every day i get there in case they,ve been nicked. i kept hens there once and lost 95 %ov them one nite .two nites later a f****ing fox finished me off neva keeping hens again !

have had pigeons on allotements but there is nothing better than having them in your garden...........

ian, do you have a garden at home and would it be possible to keep them there...?

yes have got a garden but never thought of building a loft here
