the basics seems to get me through what i need to do................like you say don, the more you come on the better you get with them.

My biggest problem is trying new ways or even doing differnt things just to see what would happen

But thats me

daughter was good with them at school too and they wanted her to do them at collage, but she did 2 years beuty instead........now shes wanting to go back to collage to do computers.........

I stayed on at 6th form for a year, only lessons I did were business...needed the grades for it. drove me mad

daughter has always been good at maths so she wasted her time really doing beuty, now theres no jobs available so she`ll have to look around for something different untill she can go back to collage...............

she`s handy when it comes to counting money anyway alex............. shes better than me.....

Will say this was a complete waste of time at school but i will this wish i was the one who was seating at the front asking the teacher question rather than taking this piss and being a complete arse

If i could go back to when i was 6 years of age with the mind i have now i would make the most of my education and not waste it like i did

Hated maths ...was in the lowest set for that....

i dont think there was any subject or lesson i was any good at through my whole school days, although woodwork or metal work was ok..... i liked that

suppose thats where i got my experience for building my first pigeon shed out of old doors and bits of wire............

But as i say would love to have my time back just to make the best of it, but i was like you David like dwood and metal work and no to everything else

Funny that David....was called resistant materials for me though, that was my best subject that I chose...Got the best GCSE's in that too

resistant materials...........? thats a new one eh alex. we once had to make a copper tea caddy spoon and then we could take it home........think my mothers still got it in the tea

Made a coffee table myself for my final project....turned out quite well... before that we did braising and made coat hooks plus jewellry boxes then a few other bits too...didnt like the coursework side much.......liked the practical more

yes practicals much better than theory, sat writing holds no interest for me.........unless its on a keyboard that is....
