- mark, could you tell me if the bird which won 1st national for you was bred out of winning parents........had they won racing themselves ? also have they bred any other winners for you....?
The father was a good solid racer, winning loads of 2nd, 3rd, 4ths and did eventually get a couple of 1sts.....the mother has always been stock. Both have bred other winners both together and split...........the old girl has an example is mother of 33 who won 2 x 1st combine, he is sire of 62 who won 2 x 1st fed, she is mother of 08 who won 2 x 1st combine, she is mother of young08 who won twice etc etc etc She is a once in a lifetime pigeon IMO |

| hi rene , i think the first priority is to win the section or get a high section prize probably want a slight notherly wind with a little bit of east in it to keep them on a westerly course . |

| Well pigeon racing wasn't my hobby, it came as a package with Mark but as the years have gone on i have grown to love it.. Before when we lived in St Helens i just used to sit out with Mark and his parents but now i'm first up there lol. I guess i had to get used to them when Mark started to work from home so i had to clean, feed and train them but when i clocked in a good bird from the national thats when it stuck.. I'm now secretary of our club |
