| there was a artical in the rp or bhw a few weeks ago the human probiotic did not contain some of the avian strains of lactobcillus and beta glucan to help with the natural intestinal flora i have used entero-plus probiotics for years with good results 3 times a week in the water or corn its a must after treatments as some of the good bacteria will be lost

| I used strike one year but couldnt tell if it did any good or not, so I think not. We have a parot and my son after eating yogherts gives him the pot and he loves them, but not sure if its anygood for him either ..but its not bad. So I use nothing like this really, I would like to know if anyone thinks they are good....JUST ONE THING THOUGH.....We have conifer trees in our drive and there are collar doves roosting in them, in fact they are there most days, I have noticed on the grass under where they roost a pile of droppings and they are perfect...If my birds droppings were as good I would be a happy man. They are always in the field and sometimes I wonder what the hell they eat when its cold wet or snowy, as they are always on the telegraph poles. And they dont get probotics and thats why I dont give anything like that. |

| when you treat martin you kill some of the good bacteria in the pigeons so by giving yoghurt you put back what you have taking out its a must after treatment in my opinion |

| Im a honey man too david, every week they get it twice during racing, I only give it once a week in winter or every day when the weathers freezing. They love it first thing in the morning when drinkers are frozen, then I warm the water and put the melted honey in, you can see them taste it and go back for another drink. its magic, I see now on TV they have seen its magic properties in medicine and have started using it on wounds as it heals them up. I remember seeing a programme on TV in egypt where they found a tomb with some jars, when they opened them they were full of honey, the chap said it was so well preserved after 2 thousand years it was edible...point made. |

| hi martyn, i give it tue, wed and sat all year round......only time i dont is when the drinkers are frozen as it would just be a waste, i also put the usual 5ml per litre of cider vinegar in with it. birds look well enough on it anyway. |

| You and I are very similar david, I hardly use any products, but honey and cider vinegar are 2 I also use, but I think you must go easy on the cider vinegar maybe 2/3 times a week in the water is enough. they need fresh water some days, especially if using products on the corn, I think on these days fresh water is a must. I think the birds look better and benifit more from the cider vinegar if given less often, but its a must in hot weather when bacteria is rife. |

Always used it on pigeons was saying this when first on here always used it in the water on there return back from a race as there first drink, this helps there recovery rate and replaces there low sugur levels as we all know sugur is energy Honey is the best thing out there for your birds |

Martyn will say if you don't mind i would't use boiling water on your honey only very luck warm just enough to dissolve it in the water, as with using boiling water you distroy some of the good bacteria's mate |
