Hi friends, it's been a while since i were on, but the racing season took all my attention, as the competition were very strong. This was my first competitive year, and one, i sure will remember, for many years. The first few races didnt go to well, but then things started to happen, when the guys started to win, there were no stopping to them, seems the more they fly , the more they wanted to fly. Anyway, i were crowned as club champion, and also have a lot of visits , fanciers ask all kind questions, about my methods and so on. Of coarse i dont let out some of my "secrets" Some things i have learned from past mistakes is : Get the horses , without them you are lost. Keep "em healthy througout the year Use common sense I wanna thank all of you, for your support and advice, i did took a lot of it home. Have a nice day

I have had a crazy season, our west section had 5 smash races in a row, full on headwinds 15/25 mph birds taking 3/4 hours from 100 miles every weekend clashing and the perigrine. loses like you wouldnt believe down here. But the birds that are left must be brilliant I gave a pair of pigeons to the fire auction sale , and a chap phil murrey bought them, has been doing well with them coming every week and winning a little, so thats good news. So the seasons been fair.

Hi david, I have often wondered, but I keep going back to an age old saying. If you send 10 pigeons to a race and 1 comes home, then there is no reason why the others cant come home as well.?? Until we can track all of the birds, on GPS, We will never know where they all get to. But one thing for sure we have dozens of reasons to list which I feel will keep them from coming home. Its a good subject for a discussion listing all the factors and pitfalls for a bird returning home, and when we have found them all do our best to limit the causes as best we can, but the odds are very much against them I feel.
