| does anyone have other methods of getting rid of pigeon droppings once they have cleaned the loft?ive got a letter from the council reguarding how and what goes in the bin for landfill.is pigeon droppings a good source of manure? |

| mine goes in a compost heap in the garden dont have any worries getting rid , if i didnt the council provide a skip as long as its bagged and tied they take it away |

i've used it my bean trench, up the allotment, and as manure but i did leave it in some heavy duty plastics bags, the type you get compost in, to rot down a bit further. |

| Im so lucky my loft is in a field, when I clean out I spread it over the field and the grass grows to feed our horses. |

| I think I have heared that pigeon poo is brilliant for the garden, years ago every village had a dove cote usually a stone one, and the villagers would take it in turns to collect the droppings from the bottom of it for the gardens, it was prized. |

| as far as i know pigeon droppings is very strong which makes it too strong to be used directly onto the garden......... when i scrape out i put it straight into a carrier bag and throw it in the black wheely bin......... good enough, its what i pay my council taxes for............... |

| just reminded me, the bin men come thursday and ive a large sack of droppings to put in the bin...........as i got behind with getting rid at one point i now put a sack full per week in, last week the bin men could hardly move it........PMSFL |

| Well mines been going on the field for years and the grass grows just fine, the horses love it, its very good for the garden in my opinion. Chuck it on lads. |

| i burn mine ,they help keep the fire going for ages,i used to throw them over the fence at the back of the garden,but its got a bit high now,but one good thing with that it stopped anyone climbing over the fence into my garden,well one way that is,it did,nt stop them the other way did it |

best thing i ever burnt ray was a black wheely bin, burnt for hours.............. |
