how much corn are members giving their widowhood cocks ? im giving mine 1 and a half oz now they are training , is this enough or too much.....?

have not got any on widow hood but the old guy that helps me says an egg cup ful per pair a day is plenty

yes an eggcup full is the same, i use one and have weighed it and its 41 gram which is a gram under an oz and half.........

this is widowhood mix by the way, so i suppose a diet mix etc would be different.

I DO KNOW THE OLD GUY WAS A VERY GOOD FANCIER AND HIS FEEDIN METHORDS HE HAS SHOWN ME HAS HELPED GREATLY HE USED TO FLY W/HOOD ASWELL AND ALWAYS HAD A HOPPER OF BARLEY IN FRONT OF THEM ALL THE TIME HE TOLD ME HUNGRY BIRDS WIN NOWT

I WILL NOT SAY WHAT HE WON BUT IF I EVER WIN A FRACTION I WILL HAVE DONE BETTER THAN 99.9% WILL EVER DO HE IS A FANTASTIC OLD GUY I COULD SIT FOR HOURS LISTENING TO HIM HE HAS FOR GOT MORE THAN I WILL EVER KNOW AND WHEN HE TALKS I JUST LISTEN

YES I AM VERY LUCKY AS IF IT WAS HE WAS NOT A FAMILY FRIEND HE WOULD NOT HAVE TOLD ME NOTHING HE HAS SHOWN ME THINGS THAT I NEVER DREEMED OF ONE OF HIS PET SAYINS IS THERE IS ONLY 2 TYPES OF BIRDS THE ONES THAT BREED THEM AND THE ONES THAT SCORE THE REST ARE JUST NO GOOD
WHAT HE SHOWED ME TO MIX FOR THE Y/BS ALL I WILL SAY IN 10DAYS THEY HAVE WENT FROM FLYIN 30 MINS TO RANGEING FOR 90MINS AND HE SAYS THEY NEED TO GO FOR 2-3 HRS ITS ALL IN THE FEEDING AS LONG AS THEY HEALTHY

thats similar advise a good fancier once told me dinky, his advise was "MOST PIGEONS ARE NO GOOD", and i doubt anyone could dispute that comment do you........???

will say his feeding system for breeding hopper of beans in the loft at all times
his mix is 25% chicken layers pellets and a good strong mixtue with no maize my y/bs where superb in the nest and at weaning time good start very important

yes true dinky i agree, i used the chicken layer pellets many years ago and found the ybs reared on them were excellent.........i cant say for definate as i havnt tested enough, but the ybs ive reared on the boss pellets and the g10`s wernt nearly as good, plus i found them pretty expensive............
