| funny that isnt it, they always seem to look the same dont they.....ive seen members post pics of their soontjens on here and they all seem to look very similar.
do you keep many van reets...? if so have you raced them and what do you think of them ? |

| David, Im brand new to the sport. i purchased 10 v. reets, 10 soontjens and 6 performance bushaerts but unfortunately a couple of each died within the first week. 19 left altogether and seem to be going great now. around 9 weeks old let out twice a day and doing 45mins - 1hr both sessions. Return to loft pretty well too. went off for about 25 mins this afternoon Ranging so if things continue should be ready for tossing in another 2 weeks ( ish) |

| ah right, they sound to be doing well then, i take it you havnt tried darkness for your ybs this year then ? ive tried it and to be honest i wont be doing it next year i dont think........your birds are flying well exercising around home and it sounds as tho they are ready to start training pretty soon, altho i do know one of our members has already started training his ybs and has had them to 12 miles a couple of times and are coming well for him..........
did you buy the ybs from louella ? |

| yes, ive heard when you get the odd bird or two which fly on their own or roam on their own that they are thinking for themselves and have a bit of something about them.......this year i had a blue yearling cock who would fly on his own around the loft and expected he would do well racing. |

| some bricoux have feather legs due to a pigeon called the cassier cock i remember my grandfather having a pair of feather legs i think they were gits pigeons and also know a chap that has a pair of grooters that have feather legs but you never see it in the modern breeds as far as im aware |

| I will post pictures I have a hen with feathers on her legs and her 2 young this year show feathers. The hen was bought from Mike Ganus for $750 and gifted to me by the president of our racing club. |
