Found GB 10 F 41737 October 9 2011 (Sunday)

Registered here to report that we found GB 10 F 41737 in our garden. We know v.little about pigeons - have reported to rpra website - not heard back from them yet. Pigeon is now in our garage in a cardboard box, have supplied water and sunflower seeds. Seems much livelier today. How do we re-unite with owner? Help! - Roy (Castle Donington)

Many thanks for that! Have called and we are waiting for a call back, hopefully this evening. Tried the list David (thanks!) and will call the listed number tomorrow if Swindon fails (looks like an HQ number). Response here is already way up on the rpra website.

thats why they should care ,when a non fancier reports a birds,what must these people think when they have a sick injured or tired birds on their hands,i know i for one would be stressed out if i did,nt keep pigeons..these people should get help as soon as possible...it makes us out as if we do,nt care about our birds

not a very good representation of us fanciers is it ray what a shambles ....a few months ago i picked up a grizzle hen that was reported 3 times to the rpra by a non fancier what must they think .....just a bunch of pen pushers in my mind

Swindon has called me back, this little chap doesn't belong to their group - I'll call Cheltenham tomorrow, the list provided by David shows that numbers up to 34999 were allocated but 35000 to 50000 just show the Cheltenham address.

sorry mate your rite i just checked the ring list i was a digit out it says the ring no was allocated to the rpra at cheltenham

hope you get sorted tommorrow roy, no wonder people are reluctant to report lost pigeons as the rpra dont seem to care or give much help..........

is there no-one whos a member of our site who lives near to roy...?

if the ring is registered as rpra Cheltenham may be one of the one loft birds

Called rpra this morning and got the phone no. for the owner. Spoke to him (Sutton Coldfield) and he is collecting tomorrow morning.
This would have happened much quicker if the rpra 'Stray Pigeon' website button had given a link to the page that David posted on here. That page would need to be kept up-to-date though; in fairness, the call to the rpra quickly revealed the owner details but it could have happened 2 says earlier if the right info was maintained on-line.
Thanks to everyone on here for your help! I've not become a pigeon fancier though, having named this little guy shizzalot. I told my wife my status is now a non-fancier, she says it goes with my age!
