| i have atm a 12 ft x 8 ft shed...i know its prob small compared to most of what you guys have, but i am looking for ideas as how best to split it into sections. i really need to split the birds up,as they are all going mad trying to breed. at the moment its just open, with some box perches and v perches on the walls, and 2 hatches to allow access to an outside avairy that i already had. it has 2 x 2ft windows also. all ideas welcome, just bare in mind i dont keep racing birds, only fancy birds.
thanks |

| hi b/lady. i dont know where your entrance door is at the moment....bit if i had a 12 x 8 loft i think i would split it to have a 2ft corridor along the front which is usefull in winter etc, and then split the 12ft length into two 6ft sections........one with nestboxes and the other with perches. |

| My advice on sections from lots of experience making lofts over the years is always do it with a door, a sliding door gives so many options which make things much easier. |

| Your description is a little vague. Where is your windows situated and your door situated. Material wise, make a divider either wire mesh or my favourite is plasterboard as it's easy to work with and you can nail it to slate batons. Also it's very cheap and as temporary as you want it. But as the other guys have said, you will need either an entrance porch or sliding divider. |

| the 2 windows and door are i believe north facing, when i got the shed it was supposed to have double doors on it,but i asked to have 1 single standard size door fitted to one of the 12ft sides..instead of the double doors at one of the 8ft ends.i do have a safety grill fitted to the inside of the door,so i can atm leave the door open to let extra air in.the shed is currently almost fully insulated and walls sheeted in...would it be better to remove insulating,or leave in place. |

| hi b/lady.....i would leave the insulating in, if the door is in the middle of the 12 side i think i would have two 5ft setions with a central door and corridor which you could access both sections whilst being inside out of the weather...........this would give you two sections 5ft wide by 8ft deep with a central entrance corridor. |
