| hi richard, never heard of them actually getting in the loft.........must have been a horrible thing to happen to you, i suppose it would have been such a shock you froze and couldnt do anything about it.

| My friend had a hawk in his loft one afternoon it killed the champion bird from our club. He did away with that hawk, the next morning another was in the loft and killed an old bird. Seems like they kill one bird and then try to get out. He had 3 total in the loft this past year. I had 2 different ones on my landing board. One got lead poisoned as he flew off and the other found his way into a trap and got lead poisoned. 5 down, thousands more to go. |

| sorry to hear of your troubles richard but if things are bad why dont you keep the birds in for the winter months as it seems a few hawks have located your loft and are going to be around for a while so why keep feeding them .........you could always leave a nice doctored pigeon carcass for mr hawks return |

Thanks Old STrain but the hawks are attacking from sept to may now, have tried keeping in does not work as when you let than outget killed, plus all our training plus racing is done agross sea due to birds never being let out at times get 100 % losses which is far worse than what hawk do . still thanks from Richard |
