If you find one like that again and its killed the bird, leave it there as it will come back and you might get the chance to shoot it.

once got told to put a bird in a glass tank (fishtank) on top of loft roof......when the hawk sees it , it will dive to kill it and break its neck on the glass......dont know how true this is and it would probably kill the pigeon with shock but its a thought...... clown

Very Happy I once saw a programme in america where they were catching eagles, they had rabbits and tied them in a field then when the eagle pounced on it they would shoot a net over it. They kept killing the rabbits so they made a leather jacket and put it on them so the eagle couldnt kil them. I think the rabbit would rather be dead than have this happen over and over..terrifing.. lol! lol!

Ian you have to be careful saying you were going to shoot the hawk as they are a protected bird of prey study

obviously the rspb are very selective about which birds they choose to protect, what makes them be able to protect bops and pigeon fanciers not be able to protect their birds......? as most of you have said, our rights are to protect what is ours.......... Evil or Very Mad

Very Happy david you wouldnt believe how selective they are, I remember an article a few years ago where the rspb commitee decided it was time to start killing off the ruddy duck, ( NOT BECAUSE WE SHARE A NAME, THAT I care) but it was mating with the white headed duck and causing a cross which they didnt like, although thats nature and Im sure its happened millions of times before man was around. They said if it mated with the white headed duck so much and it wasnt culled then the white headed duck would become extinct..boo hoo...how selective is that? Evil or Very Mad
