| When the EU brought in this bill i thought this would be the end of fanciers being refused membership of a club simply because they are successful reading Albert Babington letter in the BHW this is now not the case i think the time has come to end this practice but that is not going to happen can a member appeal to the rpra, he goes on to say it has been going on since he joined the rpra in 1963 |

| i dont think it will make any difference what bill of rights or what rules they bring in, all it needs is the usual clique in the club to get their heads together and vote against anyone joining.............who can accuse them of grouping together and fixing the vote ? |

| not so sure of that David i can see the time comming if a fancier is already a member of the rpra and is within radius this could be tested in court with very high court costs |

| im afraid you know as well as i do george these things happen in flying clubs, its like when a proposal was put into my club to open the radius, it was only to let 3 local flyers into the club by a few yards more or less........they voted against it, and that was the end of that, motion carried..... |

| plenty are obliging and helpful, but the topic is about certain flyers not being able to join certain clubs because they are sucessful and existing club members refusing them membership..............as we all know this is happening on a regular basis and is all too common these days, also it is a fact that propersitions are often out voted because the members in the clubs clique do not want change and automatically vote against it. |

| i think its regularly done george, members with a good reputation are often not allowed to join a local club for fear of taking all the prize money etc..........
instead of thinking we will try harder, they just vote against you joining....... |

The biggest problem is yes they are good fanciers but and it a big but they can distory a club rather than be fair i have seen fanciers join a club and say only want to race birds just for a bit of fun first 2 weeks send birds with no pools only time one in then after that start sending all pooled up and placing 10 on the clock and taking the first 10 its this kind of sportmanship that turns fanciers to act the way they do But i will say good competition makes some go to the next gear which is what some fanciers need NOT KNOCK ANYONE |

| what i was trying to say was if a fancier should have to move away or his club was disbanded as a member of the rpra there could be a test case were members may not be able to vote on his application i think the rpra will soon have to take advice from a european lawyer on this |
