Private forum, please read...

just reminding members that there is a section which is private where no spies/bop lovers etc can see whats been posted, sometimes members might not like to comment for fear of reprisals maybe........???

if members do not know about the private section as they cannot see it, how else would they find out about it.........

not sure i understand your question george, ALL posts are private to the outside world, only members of the "private group" can read them or post replies in the HAWK TALK private section.....

hope this explains how it works george.

Gents, as i am new to the site i dont quite see what Hawk talk is all about. Is it a chat place where you can vent your anger at the BOP problem we have?
If so why are we trying to hide away our views? Do we have somthing to say that we dare not say in public for fear of upsetting others? Are we ashamed of our views that we have to create a secret place to talk? I say keep it public so everybody can see what we have to deal with in our sport. You shouldent be affraid to air your view as this is what our boys in the forces have fort and are fighting for in this country and others. If people dont know there is a problem they wont do anything to fix it. Tell it how it is i say.
I for one wont join the hawk talk as if i have somthing to say i,ll post it.

cowand chicken, it seems you havnt been following whats been happening regarding the petition which gaz b started, this brought an aggressive reaction from the rspb and the hawk lovers.........gary was also verbally attacked on some of the raptor forums who would also visit this site and other pigeon sites and would copy and paste what the members were saying about the hawk attacks, this can be very dangerous as it proved when fanciers had their homes raided by police, defra, rspca and rspb..........

so as you can see, what they dont know they cant read and use against us.......

A classic case was when I made a joke about hitting someone over the head with a log as I skulked in the undergrowth photographing fungi.
I was told I was a dangerous man.
There are lots of others, in fact too many to mention.

went into private form could not find anything to read did you mean anyone wanting to join i ask before if a post is make on the private forum do you have to log into private forum before it can be read which i understood to be the reason for joining but when i posted on it it appeared as normal not just for those in the private forum to read george

george, the simplist way i can show you how the private forum works is if you log out, you will see the forum rules top of the list of message forums.......undernieth you will see the test loft forum with the blue banner.

now when you log back into the site, you will see the private forum in between the forum rules and the test loft forum, this shows that visitors/guests cannot see or read the posts made in this private section, nor can members who are not in the private group........

hope this explains how it works......
