| Had my first ever old bird race 7th april ( Wollaston ) Only have yearlings and lost 2 from 8 up to now. Only clocked the 1 and was well behind in the club ( i clocked just under 3 hrs and club winner just over 2 hrs ) Was told later, not a race for yearlings ( weather ) but you live and learn i suppose. one things for sure, can only get better  All the best for the season everyone  Tony. |

| just out of curiosity what is the longest time that it has took a bird to reach home from a training toss or a race. im not expecting too many replies from this as i expect that people dont like to admit failures where there is competition
also at what age is a young bird classed as an old bird
