| hi barry, i dont think theres much between them, its always the same articles etc in them both........if you like to see adverts then the homing world.
the best glossy pigeon mag ive ever had was one called the winner, which came out about 4 times a year, but it was pretty expensive and i dont know if they still do it........ |

| There is not much between them both "The British Homing World" or "The Racing Pigeon" and they come out every week Then you have "The Racing Pigeon Pictorial" which is a glossy magazine which comes out every month
I have all three but if you are just starting the best for money is "The British Homing World" 75p The Racing Pigeon is 80p and that does not have quite as much in it as the "The British Homing World" The Pictorial cost £3.95 and sometimes you have a lot of repeated info from what you read in the "The Racing Pigeon"
But it is up to you what you want to read but you can get your local newsagent to order them for you rather the going to W H Smiths
All the best and good luck |

| I seem to be interested in middle & distance iv had pigeon"fever" for as long as i can remember when i was about 8 yrs old used to go to my granddads he raced in Newton Heath Club in Manchester i can remember him telling me he won the national in 1936 with a pigeon called blue boy think his birds were Gits they always had a bowl of pigeon eggs on kitchen table so it was 6 eggs 1 rasher bacon then when i was about 14 i got an allotment with a tatty loft then me & dad built a loft on our garden & did a little bit with Sunny Brow Gorton Club Manchester but that's 50 years ago, we show dogs all over the country (Pugs see our web site) well my wife does i do the driving but hoping to move next year & get a loft, i know iv a lot to learn about racing pigeons its all changed but learning from this site & others but mainly this one its got like my club now on here seeing who's sending who's winning who's trying something different etc i also like good sportsmanship im hoping pigeon flying has that

| Barry this is the best site you will find for information and the sportmanship is top quality but let me tell you it is not like this within clubs
Lets put it this way if you start racing and start winning well no one will talk to you or even say well done but if you are half way up the sheet they will talk to you
But you will have to find that out for yourself not knocking the genuine fanciers who will talk and shake your hand but it does go on within clubs so be prepared
But the site is first class if you need to know about anything just post it up hear and you will get the information you need mate no worries there
Good Luck mate |

We've had plenty in the dog showing its just the same when your winning, so we would be well prepared hope the occasion does arrive lol, i think if you have someone winning well in your club well done to them gives you something to aim for .
