today i picked a pigeon up after a car hit it in the road poor thing already looked like it had been hawked i was on me way back from the tip so sat it on me front seat just before i got home it died so i called the chap to explain what happened and he was very polite and said thanks for letting me know

2 minutes later phone rang it was a rescue centre can i collect a bird from a none fancier well it was only 4 streets away so i collected it the lady and gent were most
polite but then they told me they called the owner first they told him it was injured and couldnt fly to which the guy said well its no good to me if it cant fly if its bleeding like you say it should die prety soon i was gob smacked so thanked the couple and told them ide call the guy and i did he said do me the honours bin it will ya i told him the couple were most upset with his attitude he said ah f**k um they no nowt then he said anyway mate do me a favour bin it i said to be honest it wont live much longer then came the best bit oh while i think about it can you send me the ets ring i said ya know what you can do mate go get f****d
now me being me i removed the ets ring smashed it to f**k and posted it to him with a note grade A wanker

what a tosser the guy is ...men like that deserve to go on their backside ,fair play g for sorting the birds and i like your style

People like that shouldnt have pigeons grade A W****R.

had a family friend phone my dads last week saying they had a pigeon in there garden.
my dad told her how to contact owner and to give it some bird seed,

she contacted the owner, his words were its no good to me if it dont come home,
considering the pigeon was from newcastle and the pigeon was in bromsgrove, if not in good condition it couldnt get home,
he said feed it and it will move on after 3 days bird still there she phoned him and said i call you back,
guess what no reply
so she reported to the rpra
and he still didnt reply
so she phoned him and took it to my dads yesterday,
this pigeon is not in any condition to fly anywhere
dad will phone him tomorrow and see what he has to say

people like this should be susspended from the rpra, they agree to abide by rules of the organisation when they join..........and to be honest if he doesnt have any feelings or compasion in him to recover a pigeon he has sent away from home, only to get lost or injured, then he shouldnt keep pigeons. JMO

people like this give us a bad name ...i have been hearing some very unsavoury stories of how non fanciers reporting birds are being treated like sh**e and in turn they tell their m8s and family members ...dont bode well does it yet most of us are genuinely happy to retrieve our birds tossers like that make me blood boil and should be thrown out the sport or at least banned for a period but the former will do me

Fair Play G i would have done the same mate and if i was them non fanciers i would report him to the RPRA

it's the same story all over at the moment and I agree wholeheartedly that something should be done to stop this Blase attitude towards non fanciers.
At the end of the day, it's their pigeon and they should be held accountable for retrieving it.
Maybe our Unions and Associations should do more to stamp this out.
Yes Darren your right it does reflect badly on the good fanciers out there.
We should also be grateful to the many non fanciers out there, who take the time and trouble to report our lost pigeons and care for them.
I would also like to thank the many non fanciers out there for doing this for our lost and injured birds.
A few who have even took the time to register on the site and place a post on here concerning lost pigeons.

at a time when public awaremenss needs to be raised over the hawk/bop problems pigeon fanciers are having, it does our cause no good at all when non fanciers get this sort of responce when reporting a lost or injured bird..........
